HOW TO USE A STEAMER
Dry steamers use super - heated steam under pressure to loosen the soiling off the surface. The soil is collected on a cloth which needs to be changed at very frequent intervals. You will get a build- up of excess water which also needs to be removed. Steaming is a popular method of carpet and upholstery cleaning but will cause shrinkage if the material is delicate. Wool springs to mind immediately here and there is no pun intended, either. A pure wool material will shrink easily and quickly. Steaming will not remove ground in machine oil, nor clean really dirty surfaces. You must allow time for soaking by a detergent solution before using a steamer as a cleaning solution. You must also look at the time it is going to take you to clean. For ever, is our experience. Take care when using this steam at this temperature.
